A month or two down the line, Arsenal now sit 7th. As I write this, we are joint 4th alongside Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool on 22 points. Spurs, who have two games in hand, play on Monday night against a tricky Aston Villa side.

With a rather professional win against Norwich, Arsenal have shown the Premier League that they're well and truly back in business. Even with an international break that had the potential to halt our run, we were able to continue our decent form and come away from Carrow Road with an impressive 3 points.

With no natural right backs available, Arsène Wenger was forced to play Laurent Koscielny at full back. It's always risky playing players out of position, obviously, but I thought that Koscielny had an absolutely fantastic game on Saturday. He didn't get forward as much as Bacary Sagna and Carl Jenkinson, but most importantly, he did an excellent job covering for the injured duo.

I believe Per Mertesacker was rather unlucky with the first goal. Everyone has been quick to criticize him (probably because he's an Arsenal centre back - if he played for Manchester United, the error would have been swept under the rug). His mistake was poor, but I still believe the critics have been very harsh on him, considering he's still only played a handful of games in the Premier League. Despite a few moments of uncertainly, I believe he will be a vital part of our squad this year.

As expected, the return of Thomas Vermaelen has been utterly glorious. Robin van Persie, again, was the difference for us. But to win games, you must also have leaders at the back. Vermaelen is the definition of a leader. A world class defender who makes a real difference when he's in the side.

A front three of van Persie, Walcott and Gervinho is deadly. The Ivorian's finishing needs work, but he still provides a dangerous attacking option for us. Like Theo, no defender will want Gervinho running at them. Arshavin will have to be patient for the remainder of 2011. It seems that at the moment, he's only going to start games, from Wenger's rotation. With that in mind, I expect him to start on Wednesday night against Borussia Dortmund.

Speaking of this week's Champions League clash, I am confident we will achieve a positive result. Dortmund, who won at Bayern Munich this weekend, will be a tough side to beat. Arsenal target Mario Gotze, who scored Dortmund's only goal in a 1-0 win against their title rivals on Saturday, will be one to watch.

We are in good form. Form that must continue right up until Christmas. We need to ensure we pick up as many points as possible, against the weaker sides, so we can stay close to the top - I have huge doubts that Manchester City will fail to win the league this year, but if we carry on like this, who knows what could happen.

Confidence is everything. It's vital that we continue our good form, so our side can achieve what they deserve and fulfil their potential. We must take game-by-game, and ensure we carry on playing like we are.
